Played a charity gig last night at the local theatre. I was using a barrowed Peavey TKO sitting on the floor. I had a horrible time hearing myself. I've had the same problem before.
I've considered a couple of solutions.
1. Buy a speaker stand that aims the 15 Neo cab I usually use at my ears. Seems logical, but.... where do I put my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0? Do I attach it to the top of the cab so that it won't fall off or...? Also, when I'm playing with a band that uses JBL Eon's with no subs, will I lose a lot of bottom end out front by not having the cab in contact with the floor?
2. Add a 210. This would also seem like a good fix except my 115 is a 4 ohm, so I would need a 16 ohm 210 to go with it, right? I would also want the new cab to be Neo.
Suggestions?
Thanks!
