Help me identify this no name J Bass

It looks similar to the Harley Benton ($150ish) and Vintage ($300ish) versions. I have the Thomann version, as per this link, and it's a very good bass for the money. It'd work out cheaper to get one of these and have it delivered then to get the one above and put a new neck on it. All I've spent on mine was $20 for a nice 3-ply scratchplate...

The bridge, pickups, controls, nut, tuners and body are all very decent on this bass; remarkable for the money...

It would be worth playing to see what you think. I've played some no name basses that turned out to be quite acceptable.

I'd say, without not being any kind of expert, that that bass is with much certainty definitely a no name J bass!

The body is weird, too narrow at the waist and the headstock is also off-shape. I'd say a korean or japanese bass of some sort.

If it plays and sounds good then who cares ... I can say it pretty much looks like no real Fender parts were used to make that bass. maybe a parts bass or a Chinese bass.

To me it looks like a fender jazz Bass (Mex etc. or American) with an upgraded after market (warmoth etc.) neck..

Ask the seller to remove the the neck and look for markings in the neck pocket and on the heel of the neck. Preferably while you are there. That should give you some more insight.
