well first off size and weight isn't a problem. that being said i'm looking for something that can handle atleast 600w rms, although the amp i ordered is 200w into 4 ohm and 120w into 8ohm (hartke 2000). i'm not looking to spend more than a few hundred bucks. or can some1 reccomend me some 12in speakers and i could build my own cab (have lots of experience in car audio enclosures so i imagine it wouldn't be too much different). thanks in advance

help me pick a 2x12 cab

yeah i have been looking on there, i ordered my amp from them, but i have read about half the pages about the steelsound 2x12 and they are super cheap and seem to be working great for lots of ppl, anydobt know where to pick one up at?
Schroeder 1212 seems like a good way to go. I'm picking up a 1210 this weekend if everything goes according to plan.
Depending on your taste and location... take a serious look at a used Music Man 2x12. About the same price as a new Avatar and it's a much more interesting cab.

The Epi crossover and high frequency driver
are much cleaner and "musicall" IMHO, plus
the 12" drivers are custom made exactly for the
tuned cabinet. I did an A/B comparison with
a friends system and the Epi had better lows/highs,
and just seemed to fill the room better.
Plus, the price used for Epi is about the same as
new for Avatar, and they keep their value.
The Avatar wasn't bad, especially if you could
fix the HF issues

Show me a used Epi 2x12 for $321 shipped (the price of the Avatar to your door). I don't think you can get a used Epi 2x12 to your door (shipped) for less than $450 - $500 or more...
