Help me TalkBass MUST FIND BLUEBEARD FUZZ

Hey Tb'ers,
I feel like I am missing out. I can not find a Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard Fuzz anywhere. And I mean anywhere. Are there any clones? Similar pedals?

My initial searching tells me it's a Big Muff variant built on a General Guitar Gadgets printed circuit board.

maybe the Dunn Effects Blackbeard. based on the same circuit. there are a few blackbeards on reverb right now.

eau claire thunder or baby thunder sounded similar to my bluebeard. fuzzrocious grey stache is in the same ballpark but doesn't have the bluebeards low-mid grunt.

I couldn't find the "tuned" Muff at GGG's website (I didn't spend a lot of time spelunking there), but it was right here all along...

a humble request: bluebeard clips!


I thought maybe GGG had renamed the Tuned to something else, but I did a quick check of the GGG "Deluge" Bass Muff compared to the "Tuned" and they are NOT the same.

There are so many muff variants out there man, you can find something that sounds like the Bluebeard. As mentioned above, the GGG tuned muff is supposed to be very similar. I emailed Sonny a couple years ago and got very odd responses from him. Like...stuff that didn't even make sense haha. The eau Claire thunder is great but I think it's very overpriced for what it is. Bluebeards are fairly cheap when they pop up in the classifieds. I think I picked mine up for maybe 130$?

@jazznrick did you ever find one? Year and a half later but Robopedals have teamed up with Sanford and Sonny to make the Bluebeard available again.

I got one of the new ones and it's my favourite fuzz. Guitar or bass, it's incredible.
