HELP MY ACOUSTIC BASS

So i have a jay turser electric acoustic bass, it was a gift, it sounds fine unplugged but when i plug it in only the E A D strings get amplified, the G string has abit of a thumping noise but no note from the amp comes t hruogh D: any suggestions D:

that's usually what it is in a new instrument. if the bridge saddle gets twisted or leaning a bit it won't seat on the piezo crystal correctly and it won't work. it's a simple fix BUT you should go to a guitar/bass tech to get it done. Piezos can be a bit finicky.

If you attempt to re-seat the saddle on the piezon, be careful to keep the piezo in the same place for the other strings. Usually it isn't one element inside the casing but 4 individual ones. LR Baggs makes a really nice saddle bonded to element style pickup. Imo - it's best of breed for undersaddle bass pickups. I believe it is either the LB4 or LR4.
These days I've moved on to the K&K passive setup which I like a lot.
