Help! My JB pickup has 3 wires

Hello.
-I was witching my jazz bass's (Bacchus woodline dx-ac5) preamp to a sadowsky preamp,
-and I got stuck at the stage where I connect the pickups to the preamp.
-according to the diagram, there's supposed to be a black wire and a white wire from each pickup.
-But mine was different.
-It's got one huge black wire (that also has a thin red and a white wire in it which is 3 in total) and another medium thick wire.
-I'm so confused!! need help!!

You didn't specify what pickups you have.

For passive pickups, there is typically a hot, a cold, and a ground. For active pickups, there will be a hot, a ground, and a power supply lead.
