Help on nailing a specific delay tone...

I'm trying to figure out how to achieve the delay tones in this particular song:



So, my question is what kind of delay would that be (analog or digital)? And then, what kind of settings should I be looking at to get that particular sound?

I've never seen a picture of his pedalboard. I do know that the guitarist uses an Empress Superdelay... but that doesn't really help, now does it? LOL!

I'd like to cover this song as an exercise is using delay, but mainly because I just love the song and the band.

I discovered these guys about 6-7 years ago, and since that time, I've been heavily into the Aussie melodic/prog rock scene.

Defintely a digital and not analog delay sound. Sillyfabe has it about right as far as a estimate on time. Since you mentioned the "Aussie melodic/prog rock" scene I hope you've heard of KARNIVOOL. One of the best bands I've heard in the last 5 years

I'm also a huge fan of delay on bass. I love my TC Repeater.

I've had a go and I can't really get it right
The first notes of each part yes but not when there's more repeats..Any ideas?

I think I got it last night. I recorded a quick and dirty version of it. Maybe I'm playing it wrong, but I find the last sequence difficult to pull off cleanly because it's up at the 22nd fret on both the D and G strings.

I'll redo it tonight and post a sample.
