Help on Slap bass, please?

I've been playing for about 3 years now. I've never had lessons in my life, just stuff from the internet and messing around. I know what's what on the bass guitar, but I'm not very good with the knobs and controls on my amp. This is where I'm hoping you can come in. I have a Fender Rumble 100 combo amp, it has a "Mid Scoop" button and 4 knobs, Bass, Low Mid, High Mid, and Treble. I'm curious as to where I should set these controls for a good slap bass sound, like that of Flea's bass in Higher Ground. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a LOT of info in this sticky over in the "Technique" BG Forum.

A lot of your tone is your preference. Not familiar at all with Fender amps, but I would start by boosting the bass a bunch, leave the Lo Mid flat, boost the Hi Mid a little, and the Hi a little more than the Hi Mid.
