Newbie bass player needs some advice... recently upgraded and bought an used Hartke 3500 head and Peavey TX210 cab (2x10). When I tested the cab, it sounded ok with the Hartke. When I took both to the jam space and plugged everything in, the sound kept cutting out and I could hear a buzzy static noise before it cuts out. So I'm getting intermittent sound, but mostly it cuts out. I bought an used Yorkville 1x15 cab and added it to my rig. The Yorkville 1x15 works fine on the Hartke head. When I plug both the Peavey and the Yorkville in, the Peavey continues to cut out. I switched speaker cables and that is not the problem. Did I blow out the Peavey cab? Should I get the wires or amp checked out? Is it worth the repair cost as it was $200 Cdn for the Peavey TX210. Any advice appreciated!

Help - Peavey TX 210 cab crapping out

Pull the grill off and take the drivers out; check the connections on the speaker terminals and see if there is an issue. I recently had an issue with my Peavey 410 tvx, it was actually in the solder connection of the little braided wire coming from the speaker cone, where it was attached to the terminal posts. Grab a screwgun and check it out, it can't hurt and you might fix it. It definately sounds like something is faulty.
Sounds like it's just a bad connection. If you blew the cab, it wouldn't cut in and out, it would be either dead or always distorted. Listen to djero44 and have a quick look inside. problem might be obvious.
