It's a USA. I have one like that with the jazz pickups.

Yep, USA. One of the newer ones with the jazz pickups. That blue color is the same as mine except mine has a maple fingerboard. Awesome basses.

What about the holes in the back of the body? The strings run through the body. I've read that this is how the BXP is made. Thanks for educating a novice!

That idea for the BXPs were taken from the USA models.
