Help Pick a Combo Poll

I've come down to the final four. The purpose of the combo is for practice, jams and small gigs. Various types of music like Metalica and Primus. Sound quality is more important than loudness, but it must be at least suitably loud for small gigs. Last but not least portability.

Ashdown Electric Blue EB15-180 (180w) $350 (Blue is cool)
Ashdown MagC115t-300 (300w) $400
Line 6 Low Down LD175 (175w) $400
Eden Nemesis N15S (120w) $450

Unfortunately none of these amps are stocked at any local music store in the Harrisburg area. I really don't want to keep paying return shipping for online purchases.

p.s. Anybody know why the Ashdown EB15 is 20 lbs heavier than the Mag C115. They share the same driver and identical cabinet. Surely the amp isn't 20 lbs heavier. Could someone with a Mag C115 put it on the batheroom scale and let me know?

I vote Eden. I have Eden stuff so...

I've read a lot of reliability issues with Ashdown.
I tried the Line6 and didn't like it at all.

I have a 12" version of the Nemisis. I don't gig with it (yet), but I do like the tone it presents when practicing by myself.

So rock, metal, etc. ? I vote Ashdown MAG. Not the absolute perfect amp, but best choice over the 4 here, IMO.

i vote for the nemesis, i have played them and i love them, however, i would look for the 210 version rather than the 115 imo

They don't have a 210 in the Silver series. I would have to step up to the Metro Bass combo for around $1,600. They do have a 2x8 (N28S), but I'm question whether I can get a good low end growl out of (2) 8" speakers.

May I ask what it is you don't like about the Line 6? It seems to offer a lot of bang for the buck. But to be honest sound is more important to me than features.

Concerning Ashdown, I get impression they had some quality problems when they 1st shipped production of the EB and Mag lines to China. I'm told that they have since gotten their quality problems under control.
