HELP! Pup replacement gone horribly wrong!

Well, maybe not horribly... but wrong.

I just replaced the pups in my Yamaha BBG5 with Barts.
Bridge pup does not work, and turning up the bridge pup volume pot kills the neck pup.

My soldering on the bridge pup-to-pot connections looks as good as the soldering on the neck pup-to-pot.

Could I have somehow toasted the pot?
Or are there some other things I should look at?

Hi, kesslari.

Sounds more like a short in the bridge pickup circuit.

A few pics might help to identify the problem.

There's always the possibility to wire each pickup directly to the output jack to check the pickup itself, if there's no analog multi-meter around.

Thanks. Yeah, when I wired straight to the jack and it still didn't work, I checked and found a short in the pup wire. Cut it back a bit, tested that it wasn't shorted anymore, wired it in and it works!
Gonna bolt it all back together and then see how these things SOUND!

Bonehead squeaks through... again.
