HELP!!!!! Spray Paint

I need help to remove spray paint from a p-bass but not remove the finish under the crappy spray paint job.
Any suggestions????

If you're talking about a bass that was factory finished and then you (or somebody) applied additional paint on top of it, then it may be impossible to remove the top finish without affecting the finish under it. Tough luck.

i didnt paint it, but i want the black spray paint off to see the sunburst

If its polyester under some cheap enamel you could desolve the top coat and not effect the poly too much. Good luck.

If it was my bass, I think I'd try sanding the spraypaint off, by hand, very slowly and then when the original finish was exposed, I'd try buffing it to a shine...
