Help, with ashdown....

Hello Guys, good day....

...does anybody here owns an Ashdown Little Giant 350W/1000W... is it Natural that at first the "FAN" isn't running or totally not running...but works well, or should it be ruunning already the minute i switch it on....

thanks guys in advance...

Thanks Joe,

i was thinking the same way that maybe if the heat goes higher it will turn on at some temperature, but i really have no idea...but 'nway thanks, your relpy is enlightening ( im an alien to the amp world )

thanks Joe....

Hi.

If it's a class D amp as the manual says, the efficiency is greater than 90%.

It means that the cooling requirements are far less than with an AB 50% efficiency.

One could draw a conclusion that the fan control should be variable and only used if the heat sinks capacity is not enough to dissipate the heat produced. Which is for example ~10W with 100W continuous output (vs. ~100W for A/B).

I'd guess there's a fan control, about the only way to find out is to contact Ashdown and/or crank the amp :bassist:.

Regards
Sam
