Help with Avatar aesthetics

This is a silly thread created to help me pick a color of grill cloth for me cabs. I'm looking to build a frame that I will attach grill cloth to and replace my existing metal grills on my Avatar cabs. I called to see if they could make me some since they are doing that now but Dave said each cab is slightly different and as such to make sure these fit properly to try and make them myself. I will attach each frame via velcro strips or something like that. Which color do you think would look the best? Below are pics of LopoLine cabs with the grill colors i am looking at, the bottom pic is my Avatar stack for reference. If anyone wants to chop the colors onto my cabs that'd be cool too, I'll be buying the cloth from partsexpress.com Thank you for indulging me.

I'm voting for #3. I'm also using a cloth very similar to that for a couple of 1x15's I'm building. I'm looking for a vintage Fender'ish/Ampeg'ish kinda vibe with them.

Yes the metal grill will withstand more abuse but ... I gigged all over heck and gone in the 70's and early 80's using cab's with cloth or NO grill and had no issues. You're already dealing with Tolex so keeping the grills intact should be too hard. I am planning on a set of covers for my cab's.

Yeah, my first thought was that the cat might make fast work of a cloth grill. Personally, I'd stick with the metal grill, and use the fabric to make a sweater for the cat (and the dog).

Black, because you will still have the black vent holes. If the whole front was covered, I'd say tweed.

The red looks kinda washed out in that photo which makes none of them look all that great, I assume it's a bit deeper looking in person. I'd probably go for the black but if the red was right I might be tempted by the silver.

Stock metal. That's what I love about Avatar, great sound, great value, and I don't worry about some drunk (or me) accidentally punching a hole through a cloth grille.

I think I'm going to try the black cloth over the existing grills, keep it simple, trying to figure the best way to adhere black cloth to metal grill

I like the look of the silver, but I went for Line-X with the stock metal grill on mine for practicality and ruggedness.
