Help with identifying this Precision copy

Hi, first post. Came to the experts :)

I have a friend who has this old beast and was wondering just what it is - like make and model and perhaps the year of manufacture.

Looks to me like a Precision copy but I cant find anything on the interweb that identifies it.

Any ideas?

Late 60s early 70s Made in Japan. Looks like a unbaged Tiesco from the Matsamuco factory (I know I probably spelled it wrong). Cool little bass with plenty of old school thump.

Looks like it's had a "home" paint job somewhere in its past with all of the "orange peel" showing on the headstock and what I can see on the body. Probably where the name got "lost." If it were mine, I clean it up, buff out the "orange peel," set it up and play the heck out of it. The location of the finger rest (or as some on here refer to it as a "tug bar") puts it 60's to early 70's, since the imports closely followed the Fender and other makes.
