Help with Lakland LH-3 wiring

I have two Delano pickups installed: JSBC 4 HE/M2 (neck) + SBC 4 HE/S (bridge) https://www.delano.de/downloads/installation guide_2018_1.pdf and would like to upgrade the bass with a Lakland LH-3 preamp https://shop.warwick.de/media/cd/8d...H-3-Wiring-Diagram-4-07.pdf.pdf?ts=1770658768

The cables (coloring, amount) however do not add up at all. I cannot for the hell of it figure out how to "pair" the Lakland schematics with the "TheHybrid Series wiring (For 2 pickups, balance- & volume pot)" of the Delano guide.

E.g. Lakland shows the green bridge pu wire as grounded, whereas for Delano it seems to play quite role going through the toggle switch all the way to the blend/balance pot. But what do I know?! I'm clueless and don't want to fry my new Lakland pre.

Shout out to anyone out there who is willing to share some experience and knowledge.

Don't pay too much attention to "color codes" in these manufacturers' wiring diagrams. there is no standard.

The Delano scheme has extra complications: the bridge pickup single coil/dual coil switch also switches the preamp in and out of the circuit. It also uses a custom dual-gang treble/tone pot that acts as a standard passive tone control in passive mode and adjusts the treble EQ on the preamp in active mode. Single coil mode is passive (J-bass) and humbucker mode is active (MM). I assume you are wanting to retain this scheme, including the custom tone/treble EQ control? Luckily for you, my research indicates that the Lakland preamp also uses a 50 K Ohm linear pot like the Delano preamp, so you'll be able to re-use that part.

Since the Delano setup already has a blend control, master volume, and active/passive switching you won't need to use the ones included with the Lakland preamp. Almost all preamps have just 4 connections to the outside world: signal IN, signal OUT, power (+9 volts) and GROUND. Identify these four connections on both preamps, you'll have to snip or remove the wires from your Delano preamp, including the wires for the treble EQ on the ganged pot.

The wire from the center terminal on the tone pot (highlighted green) goes to the new PREAMP INPUT. Output wire from the new preamp (highlighted yellow) goes to the bridge pickup coil and EQ switch. On the Lakland preamp, the preamp input is in the upper left corner on the diagram, the black wire from the blend pot. The Lakland preamp output is the yellow wire on the diagram going to the volume control. The three wires to the treble EQ pot will be need to be moved as well, and with the correct orientation.

Hello, thanks for the help and time I really appreciate it! I forgot to mention, I have currently both delano PUs without any pre. So my intention is to "activate" the bass 😁. Hence the side by side puzzle pic. Right is the Delano with a n example called "hybrid series" wiring, I picked that one as (and you've correctly guessed) it comes closest to the scheme I'd like to "retain" or end up with. So my question basically is, given all the colors of the Delano PU, how do I "plug it into" the LH3 pre correctly, retaining the "idea" of the Lakland controls and overal layout. The J PU has a black and a shield wire. Here's a better representation of the problem - PUs on the left, pre on the right - how do I marry them:
