Help with Maxon Bass Flanger BF-01 internal trimpots

Hello guys,

i just got an Bass Flanger BF-1 Maxon and of course i opened to see if there are any trimpots in there..and there are 3!!

anyone have a clue about them?

I would assume gain. Pre, Post, and who know's what. Nice looking pedal, loves me some Maxon.

Sure is a nice looking pedal, its red!!

Has a great sound too, 2 modes - standart flanger and a kind of wah/phased flanger.

Ill mess with it toiday at night, but i suppose that on of the pots are for feedback.

theyre most likely to bias the jfets and ICs that create the effect. Lots of modulation pedals have these because components arent all built identical. messing with them wont ruin the effects, but in all likelihood you could lose the flange effect. just make a note of where they all were if you decide to mess with them. I could be wrong on this though, just my $.02

well, just messed with the trims nad in order, from left to right is:

- feedback (more REGEN, more crazy sirens);
- Depth ( if you roll off this trim, it has no flange at all);
- still dont know yet...maybe gain, bias....
