Help with my computer

OK. So I'm using Windows Vista. When I open email attached documents it automatically opens them in Wordpad instead of Word. So I get a bunch of heiroglyphics and whatnot. How do I get it to open in Word automatically? I know there's better websites for this, but they don't speak my language (I don't like computers).

Sorry. I wasn't able to do any of that. If I right click on the attachment, there's no "open with" option. If I click on properties, there's nothing to change either. I tried with a document already on my PC, but no luck there either.

I'm not insulted. That is a good question, because it seems that I may not. I have Microsoft Works Word Processor, which I made the assumption it was Word. It looks and performs identically to any Word I've used.

But I still can't find a way to open things using Works Word Processor.

Does that help?

And what mail reader do you use? Web-based (Yahoo!, Gmail, Lycos mail, etc..)? Outlook? And if you are using web-based email do you use Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera or what to surf the web?

I've not used Works in years, so I'm not even sure if it'll open a Word document. Looks like you'll have to purchase Word/Office, or download the free OpenOffice as a substitute.
