Hex core or round core

Hex core. DR SS lo riders here until they quit making them, or I can't play anymore.

As a big fan of low gauge string, and short scale basses, hex core seems like the obvious choice as they got a stiffer feel.

I want to like round core strings but aside from DR fat beams and black beauties on certain basses I mostly go for hex core.
