Hey Toasted!

I feel stupid now. I saw this and thought you were giving them mozzarella cheese balls rolled in parsley or something.:(

those would be baby (Antaresia maculosa) or Spotted Pythons (an Aussie species) hatching and emerging from a clutch of eggs....lol (Reptile eggs are generally soft and leathery in both look and feel)

the stuff you see stuck to the eggs is called vermiculite it is used as an incubation medium as it retains moisture quite well....as the eggs get closer to hatching i generally move the clutch from the vermiculite into a clean box full of damp paper towels...once they have all cleared the egg i transfer them to individual containers.

You may be somehow descended from the Scottish royalty (which can probably also be said for the larger proportion of people on this board).

That doesn't make you a member of the aristocracy. They're pretty strict about that sort of thing for this very reason:

Everybody is descended from Royalty.

I myself can trace the family line (on mums side) all the way back to Robert the 1st of Scotland...or the more popular (Robert the Bruce) but i'm fairly sure they aren't going to hand me the keys to Cardross Manor anytime soon...lol
