HH series/parallel and vol/tone bypass

A friend wants to add some switching options on his bass.

It has 2 x single conductor humbuckers and is wired VVT (no pickup selector switch). He would like series/parallel and a 'blower' switch for each pickup to connect them directly to the output.

I don't have a problem with the series/parallel wiring. The blower(s) complicate things. Presumably he needs to wire the blower(s) first in line then run the outputs from these to the S/P switch?

Just make the other volume pot a push/pull & instead of the output from the series/parallel switch going directly to the volume pot, send it to the second push/pull, which decides if it's going straight to the output jack or to the volume pot.

Doing a bypass per pickup won't really work with a series configuration, AFAIK.
You would have to make the 2nd push/pull bypass both volume pots for when it's in parallel.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking. I reckon he's better off with the S/P switch and a couple of no load volume pots tbh. Personally I like things simple (1 pickup, 1 volume pot).
