I am originally a guitar player but I switched to bass after having a stroke. I have no use, yet, of my right hand. I find it's easier to play the bass one handed ie. slap ons and pull offs. I just have to make a hard enough initial impact on the strings to get a decent sound. It is a battle of too hard and not hard enough. That and open string notes are tough to make.
I have a Dean Edge 09 Classic Black that I bought at a pawn shop for $35 that plays pretty good. The neck is straight and string height is good. Harmonics are also good. Just have a ground issue I still have to fix. Noise when touching strings and when tone is turned up any.
Thanks
Mark
