I have been meaning for a good while to get an account here, but just now did. A friend of mine, Kyle, told me about it at some point of another, and it sounded amazing! And, it is!
I have been playing bass on and off for about three years now, but have just started REALLY getting into it the past 6 months or so. I am in a band called Shrubland, but I don't see it going to far...lol. My main interests in bass are the slapping and popping techniques used by a bunch of the funk artists. I also am a HUGE metalhead, and for the past 17 years my parents have pumped me full of Metallica and other such great bands. I listen to everything except country, although bluegrass is phenomenal. I currently play a B.C. Rich Warlock 4 string bass, and am borrowing a good friend of mines GK setup.
I stay on the computer for about 6 hours a day, so I hope to learn a ton from this site and make even more friends!
