Hi to all, and thank you Paul for the add, I'm new on here, I'm an old geezer wanting to fore fill my boyhood dream of playing bass in a 70s/80s tribute band in the Notts area,
I'm keen to continue my learning curve of bass playing, I'm sure I'll get to chat to some very clever bass players, now I'm finished my working life I have time to do what I want, I'm NOT wanting to play in a band for money gains !!! So, I'd like to ask is there anyone around the Mansfield, Notts area that I could come sit in and listen and learn in you jam sessions, be very much appreciated, all the best to you all, Ray.

While TalkBass is a more US-focused site, there's quite a few UK folks here.
I run a members map, TB mapped! map , looks like nobody too near you, although of course the map doesn't have everyone on here.

I hesitate to suggest it, but have you joined BassChat.co.uk ?
It's a lot more UK focused although some of the folks there are a bit mad.

I intent to, or try if my wife allows lol, they seem to have a thing about garden centres once you finish work, strange creatures, 40yrs and it still blows my mind !!!!!
