Hi to everyone from Macedonia...

Hi...

My name is Dionis Stratrov from Skopje, Macedonia.
I`m 33 and i play bass since i was 12.

Im self taught so to speak...

I played lots of local gigs and concerts in my hometown that included latin jazz, mainstream jazz, fusion jazz, some cool pop and rock music as well as projects that incorporate traditional macedonian music and modern fusion...

In my younger years i was also lot into progressive rock..

So far i played on (only) two albums and dozens of individual records.
Still waiting for that "zing" to happen..if it happens at all..:)

Anyway..i don`t know if this is the right place to post , but for anyone that`s interested in my playing here`s some of the stuff i uploaded on my youtube channel..

Hope you enjoy it..

..heres some home recording jazz standard tryouts..

..a tune from the album i recorded...

..live performance from an ethno music project i worked on...

..a tune from a TV Show on jazz music i did for two years..

...and an 8 year old version of Giant Steps..Yeah i know its time for a better one...:))

Cheers to all...

Hi again...
I wasn`t sure where to share this so i guess this should be the right place..

This is a small collection of jazz and classical compositions i recorded at my home using a Fender 6 string jazz bass, play along tracks and simple recording software. The tracks are not edited, meaning the melodies and improvisations are recorded in a single (and in some cases only) take.

I named it "Homework" for two reasons:
- it`s recorded at my home , using simple recording gear and software.
- The tunes are "basic homework" for any muscian interested in jazz.

Hope you enjoy some 6 string bass soloing over these classic tracks.

Cheers.
