High C on a G&L L-2500?

I'm lookin at pickin up a new G&L in a week or two. I'm getting the 2500 eitherway, but I was just curious if anyone had any insight as to how well a high C would work on these basses. I've played 5's in the past, but mainly my '79 MM Sabre for the last couple years, and the thought of swapping out a low B for the C is rather enticing in my current performance situations.

Any thoughts?

I have an L-2500 and tried that very thing. It sounded okay, but the bass is really built to work with BEADG, I think. I played it for a while with high C, but after a few months went back to low B. If you go for it and decide to keep it that way, I'd get the nut modified to accommodate the thinner string gauge. I wouldn't say it's necessary to do that, but I think it would enhance the overall sound and playability.
