I'd be inclined to use the Alpha 6A to give you another 3dB of voltage sensitivity which will make the cab just that bit more midrangey/bright
Enough so that slapper/poppers currently testing some prototype cabs have found 7kHz inadequate for their tastes. For them 3 way is a necessity, as no 6.5 has adequate dispersion that high.Is there really that much content above 5.5-6KHz Bill?
Thumbstyle flatwounder's will find 2kHz adequate.
