High quality practice amp?

Sorry to bring back an old post, but I am curious. @wengr, did you make a decision on an amp? If so, what did you choose, why did you choose it, and what are your thoughts or impressions of the amp?

thanks! (=

I know it's not a combo, but a MB200 and a small 1x10 cab gets my vote. It will run larger cabs, has a good clean DI, MP3 in, headphone out, etc. Small enough to just throw up on a coffee table with headphones and bass plugged in, or loud enough to use on gigs.

picked up a GB Shuttle 3 10T a few weeks ago and am extremely happy with it. Works well with both my Spector and Godin A4 fretless. When I purchased it, I was thinking about just using it for rehearsals and at home but I can see now that I will be using it for a lot more than that. I am also very impressed with how the little amp sounds through one of my Bergantino AE 112s.

The guys in the band were blown away at the sound and tone that this lightweight package delivers.

... hmmm, would love to try a shuttle 6, next to my Mark Bass F1

I have a Gallien- Krueger Backline 110. It's portable, has great tone and at 70 watts, plenty loud enough for practicing. It also has a headphone jack, line out, and input jack.
+1 I love this little guy. So much more than a practice amp, and has everything you're looking for. Can be had for reasonable prices, great for solo practice, small rehearsal, and the internal speaker can be unplugged to run a different cab. Great featured amp that gets two thumbs WAY up.
