High tension 5 string set from DR

Help me out here I have a Lakland 5 string and I am trying to find a stiffer string set the low B with the Marcus Miller strings is like playing a 6 string guitar I need something stiffer I guess I dig in a bit and the lite weight strings don't work for me thanks

Might try a DR set with a hex core. I found that the DR MM 5 set felt pretty soft/flexible, presumably due to the round core. I really liked them but I had the same issue with a buzzy B even though it was a .130.

I think this is a setup and preference thing. I find that because I dig in a bit I need a higher action and stiffer strings.

My 55-14 is set up with some relief in the neck - not perfectly straight - and it's got a killer B with the light gauge Lakland strings strung through the body. Lakland strings come with a .128 B. Hex core I believe...they are GHS Super Steels...
