Highway or American Standard?

Sounds to me that the 2006+ HW1 is the way to go... I just wish they made their 100% US basses that way! I don't care for poly...

I'd say that picture is a 2006 or later.

Sorry, but that's not quite correct; 2006 models still had all those things.

I wouldn't bet my paycheck on it, but every H-One I've seen with a Z6 has them...

I would bet my paycheck because I own two of them that I bought brand new; with 06 anniversary badge, smaller logo, bent-metal bridge, and skunk stripe. I could take pictures if you like.

No need to prove it with photos, I'll take a brother at his word (but post photos if you like, cause I love bass porn as much as the next guy). That must have been the end run of the series that was released after 2006 began.

Here's the result of 2 days of research into this question. It's a Highway 1.
1. Serial is Z6 + 2006 Fender site #'s stop at 2005 (Z5)
2. Color is Daphne Blue, not offered on American Standard P only Highway 1.
3. 60th Anniversary badge indicates 2006
4. Bridge is vintage bent metal, no thru strings.
5. Neck has skunk stripe.
6. "Precision Bass" is in small size letters on headstock.
7. Opening the tone compartment revealed additional capacitors not just one. (Greasebucket)

Nurse, tell the father it's a Highway 1 and all the fingers and toes are there.

I bet if you compared serial numbers, Turock's bass is just down the assembly line...
