i am currently playing in a standard 4 piece rock band set-up but with a tendancy for a little bit of funk and hip-hop within the sound. its a little bit thrasher than what you would probably consider hip-hop but we are trying to settle that down a little bit now by adding some synths, keys and percussion and hopefully turn it into something a bit more dancey.
i realise with doing this I may have to change my bass sound to compensate for the room needed for the other instruments but have been playing with the same sound for quite a while now and could do with some advice?
being a 4 piece, my sound at the moment is very attacky with a whole lot of punch. I'm looking for something along the lines of anthony russel (jay-z), so its smooth and sits deep within the sound of the band.
