Hipshot D tuner model question

I have a quick question about two different D tuner models and did not find the answer in the search. I want to put one on my EBMM Sterling but do not want to add the extra weight. I was looking at the HE6C model, which is the light weight clover key model. It has the right diameter but I was wondering about the length of the tuning key post. The BT1 that is advertised as the Musicman replacement has a short post option for US Musicman basses, the HE6C does not. Does anyone know if the key post is longer on the HE6C than on the stock EBMM tuners? Thanks

Any knowledge out there? I cant get a response via email from Hipshot and really want to know the differences between the two tuners.

Does anyone know where I can find dimensions or weight information on Hipshot tuners?

I'm a wide Hipshot bass extender user

The modified piece only adds a few grams in weight to your startin' machinehead specs.

So, ultralite machineheads, much like the one you find out, are for ultralite sets, so you better use it if you already have a full, complete ultralite set or are goin' to buy and install it.

Otherwise, you need a BT1 bass extender if you own a USA MusicMan, 'cause your machineheads are equal to Hipshot HB1

Or rather a BT7 bass extender, if you own a Sterling by MM
There, machineheads are close to Hipshot HB7 ones

In these two cases I mentioned, you're gonna install a perfect replacement with no extra screwin' I positively discourage you to go any further with different experiments

FYI: I purchased a stock BT1 and it is not the same size as the stock tuners. The tuning key is just a little longer. Its not that big a deal and you cant tell unless you look close so I didn't worry about returning it, just thought you guys should know.

The plate is the same size though, that's the only difference between the different models.

You just have to pay attention to plates to fix'em (let "gotoh" models alone) tunin' peg design is not necessarily the very same, nearly that... and most important... it works... period...
