So I put a hipshot detuner on a bass I have and it seemed to work ok but the lever when detuned would flap away with the wind. I had this detuner on a bass that I sold off awhile ago and decided to put it on this bass, so it was new back then but it wasn't now. It worked great on the old bass but on this one, It got annoying so I contacted Hipshot. They had me try out a couple things, but at the end they told me they would just send out a new base plate with lever. I put in the new plate and got everything back together and all is A-OK!
Since I had the other one out I took a look at closer and it seemed the hex screw holding the lever wasn't grabbing any more so it wasn't fully getting screwed in. Just thought it was weird how that would occur from the time I had it on my old bass to this one.
Just wanted to give a shout out though to the guys at Hipshot for all there help and quick turnaround on the replacement - even though at the time it wasn't fully determined that it was the issue.
