It is a drop-in replacement for the original 4001/4003 bridges which used the same screw-holes since the late-60s, but the newer Rickenbacker factory bridge (the one with the roller saddles) found on basses since 2020 has different screw-holes so you'd have to drill new holes to mount the Hipshot (of course they'd be covered by either bridge)
