Hipshot Xtender for 2019 Fender American Performer P??

Hey there TB folks. I just got a 2019 Fender APP bass. I'm really diggin' it. All around terrific bass. I highly recommend it.
So here's the thing. I play a fair number of stuff in a Drop D tuning and I really don't want to be switching out guitars. I already have a vintage '71 P with a Hipshot Xtender and would like to put one on the new APP. So far I've been unable to find an Xtender to match with the Fender “F” Light-Weight Vintage-Paddle Keys with Tapered Shafts on the APP.
Does anybody know which, if any, Hipshot Xtender is a direct replacement?
Thanks

If they're the same tuners as on the American Performer Mustang (and I think they are), you're going to have to send them the tuner and they'll make it for you.

Bad news is ya gotta sent them the tuner.

Good news is turn around time was less than a week, they're great people to do business with, and it works perfectly.

You want the Hipshot BT12. The last I heard Hipshot was having difficulty getting more tuners to make them though. FYI for a few of the detuners Hipshot makes, they buy the OEM tuners and add them onto Hipshot detuner plates.

As a stopgap measure, consider talking to Hipshot customer ( 607-532-9404) service and discover which of their other tuners can be installed that will leave no visible sign once you get the correct tuner. You could then sell the stopgap tuner once the correct ones are available again.
