I've been thinking of buying a new Hofner ignition bass off thomann for around £210 and i want some expert advice on whether or not it would be worth my time to buy this, holler back as soon as possible, thanks
I bought an Ignition one year ago. With the proper strings (Hofner in my case) it has the typical Hofner sound, but the quality is very poor, mainly about the wood, the paint, the binding and the look.
I would buy a Contemporary, but his sound seems to be a little more far from the german one than the Ignition is.
For the same price? The Hofner Ignition i would say!
For an higher price i would look for an used Epiphone Rivoli (still out of order).
Dean also makes interesting s/a basses.
