Hello. Longtime lurker, first time poster.
I'm currently playing bass (and running lead vocals) for Phoenix-area all-original Blues/Rock band Until the Sun.
I had been playing rhythm guitars (and lead vox) for many years in my several bands. But, last summer, our long time bass player left the band, and we had some big gigs on the books. So, I 'took one for the team' and agreed to play bass, at least for awhile, and see how that went. Well, a year+ on, and I'm still plucking strings - and I kinda like it. Something new to learn if nothing else... So, I think I'll keep on bass for the foreseeable future.
Currently I'm running an EBMM SR4HH, and cobbled-together 'partscaster' Fender Jazz and PJ basses - through a Mesa D800+ and Ampeg SVT 210AV and 212AV cabs. I have a decent pedalboard as well, but that changes regularly (well, except the Darkglass Vintage Ultra and Way Huge Pork & Pickle - which aren't going anywhere!).
