Hot, rare Ric on the Bay!

The redneck, tuxedo and blackstar are considered the rarest of all the Ricks - the redneck is all red (including the freboard), the tuxedo has a bleached fretboard and black hardware and the blackstar is completely black insluding the binding. there are, however, around 50 of each in existence.

What you see here is a standard albeit no longer available red finish one. i forget the proper colour but it usually ends in 'glo'

Actually the Rednecks are pretty rare (I forget the total production....mid 30's comes to mind) the Blackstars and Tuxedos are limited more than rare (the numbers are failing me at the moment and I'm sure I'll be corrected.....IIRC there were 125-ish Tuxedos and 250-ish Blackstars). There are only 60 4004LK's, 50 4003 Shadows and a handful of 4002's.....those and 4005's are harder to come by.

Tuxedos had painted white fretboards and Blackstars have no binding.....they are all 4003S models (no binding, contoured body, dot fret markers).

Please post pics and maybe soundclips when you get it! :D

thanks man, if it wasn't for you posting the link on TB I may not have ever seen it. I have a thing for red and black basses, this'll be my second in this color configuration, other being a black and red Warwick Corvette, now if only i could get my hands on this one:
