Hotcake comparisons/experience?

So how does the Crowther Audio Hotcake (Bluesberry, XLF, and standard) compare to the Cream Pie and Blueberry (a couple I'm interested in) and the Bass-Drive (one I'm familiar with). Just trying to learn a bit from y'all's experience with it (I've already checked out a few soundclips), so anything you got would be appreciated. Thanks.

I own a latest-model Hotcake (with all the functions you listed), but I've not tried a Blueberry or Cream Pie. I can say that the Hotcake is one of the most transparent overdrives I've owned (owned lots). It retains some of the original signal not unlike a clean-blend. To my ears, it has a very natural overdrive, as compared to my V4. It go from clean boost to all-out fuzz, so it's pretty versatile.

Hope that helps,

Lyle

Anyone else? Also, what exactly are the differences between the different Hotcakes? The XLF is supposed to be more bass-friendly, is it not? And I've read the official descriptions of the Bluesberry, but how does it sound in the real world on the bass?
