Hotone Patch Kommander?

Does anyone use on of these? Complaints?

My main question is:
In preset mode do you have to have a "clean" patch? Or can you turn a patch off without selecting another patch? I've searched and cannot find a solid answer.

I am wanting to use this to "stack" my 3 pedal gain section, but want to also have a clean sound. (Example: Clean, 1- A, 2- B, 3- A->B, 4-C)

I've been pretty happy with it. My main problems have been due to user error, mostly hitting two footswitches when I only meant to hit one, that switches to the next effects bank. Except for those minor complaints, it does what it's supposed to do without any extra noise. Some switchers have a "master bypass" but the LS6 nor the Hotone appear to have that. I have my first patch on mine set up as all-bypass, even though in the band I never play completely clean, I use my compressor for clean parts, but use the bypass setting for tuning and checking things out.
