How best to fill a pickup hole - creative input welcome

i would put a neon tetra aquarium in there, no just kidding
try to clean up the whole, carve out a wood block, wood glue it in, use wood putty to fill any remaining cracks/gaps (sawdust and glue usually has some dirt in it and it won't accept a finish very well)

I would put a fake dummy-pickup in there. A blank pickup cover would work

you could put some electroluminescent tape inside it and it could glow--otherwise you could pick up a few color changing LEDs and rig a small battery+color changing LED circuit inside it with some glass over the top so it doesn't fall out.

I think that's the direction I'm headed in. I can see some good art potential (like a flux capacitor for sure!) with something embedded in the resin. I'm going to take some time to design it and do a few test runs since I am going to live with whatever I put in there FOREVER.

Stickers are fun but as beat as the bass is, the wood has a really gorgeous patina at this point so I don't want to cover it/gum it up.
