I thinking of changing my strings soon and would like to get some of the well known Rotosound strings. How have other people like them?

How do people like Rotosound Swing 66 strings?

Played 'em for decades. Bright, growly, can be clangy. It depends what you're looking for. I've found I prefer nickel-plated strings these days.
I want to say yes, although I can't say that I've done a side-by-side comparison on harmonics between different strings.
favorite roundwound string. currently have rotosound rs66 on the thunderbird and rs77 flatwounds on the p/j
They were my favorite strings for decades but then quality control went to hell. Can't get a set where the E string doesn't go dead within a couple of days. I use DR High Beams now. Not as bright as Rotosound but the quality is far superior.
One of my favorites. They do wear out faster than my other favorite brand (GHS), but for my tastes, and frequency of playing, I can easily get a few months out of a set, and I'm fine with that.
love 'em! i generally prefer the TI jazz rounds but 35-90 roto 66s have always delivered.
Really depends on what tone your going for. I used Roto66 for a time but they were unkind to my fingers and had a very strong upper mid presence, so I moved on. If you’re looking for a string with strong harmonics, I’d give DR Lowriders a look.
I like em. Force of habit that I still use them I suppose, I don't think there's really a huge difference in stainless roundwound, at least not enough for me to care much. I think the last strings I put on my L2500 were DR Hi-Beams, which maybe last longer? I don't know. I think the Hi-Beams are round core, and the RS66 are hex, not sure how much difference that makes. Get a set and try them out. Give them a few hours of playing before they settle down, and enjoy (some smart alec will likely point out that you will then get a couple more hours playing time before they're dead, but YMMV).
Used them since the 80's. They can lose their zing quickly, but a little eq adjustment can cover for that. But that 1st month they sound great. I use the BS set because of a slightly thicker E string on my bass with a drop tuner. FWIW, I always like a grindy rock tone available out of my bass, and RS delivers in spades.
I found them rough on the fingers and too brittle sounding. That said, my preferred rounds are nickle lo-riders so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt, I suppose.
I like them, but I moved on to SS DR lowriders. To me, I find them similar in feel and tone, however the DR's don't lose that tone I love as quickly as the RS's do.

I'd echo what 1960 said; I used them for years, and then in the early 90's they began to be quite inconsistent from set to set for me. I went back to GHS Boomers or D'Addario XL's, which have always been consistent for me.
I tried them once due to their popularity here. Found them coarse under hand, died quickly, gladly replaced them with my preferred albeit expensive strings. Not a fan.
If I wasn't such a fan of my Chrome's, my second choice would be the 66's on my Ray5. They do bring out the "attitude" of my Ray in a very good way!
