How do you leave Feedback?

1. Visit the thread where the item was sold, and while you're looking at that thread-copy the thread "http" address from the internet window.
2. Then, visit the buyer, or seller's profile-the person that are leaving feedback for (view public profile-for the member).
3. Under their join date in their profile, you'll see Submit Feedback (in blue) to the right of that. Click on that.
4. Under their feedback score, you'll see Submit Feedback for XYZ Member, or whatever their member name is. Click on that.
5. Choose the first two from the drop down boxes, add a short comment. Paste the thread "http" address from step #1, above, and ADD DETAILED COMMENTS in the big box. This can be short, and is required!

when I try to paste in the deal thread url I keep getting an error: "The deal URL is invalid!" Any suggestions?
you're putting in wrong thread url if you're getting that error. The thread must exist, and you must be thread starter to leave feedback as seller.
what if I am the buyer and didn't start the thread? Most of the dealings for the transaction in question were done via email.
That works too, I'm just trying to tell you there are some common sense checks the system uses to avoid gaming of feedback. why don't you copy/paste the url you're trying to use here?
Yes, that makes sense, but I'm afraid I'm still not understanding what URL I need. TBer "A" started a thread regarding the build of a cab to be built by TBer "B". I followed that thread for some time, then decided I also wanted a cab build by "B" and contacted "B" outside of the thread to discuss it. After a few PMs back and forth we moved our discussion to email and that is where the dealings were concluded. What do I put in the URL field to leave feedback for "B" as a buyer?
The URL needs to be from the classifieds forum. If there is no classifieds thread, there can be no feedback.
I left feedback to other TB'ers for the first time and even though the system can be a little confusing, worked fine for me (and twice).
