Owned one.

If you like strings that don't line up properly with the bridge and run off the side of the fretboard, a neck without a trussrod even though you requested one (neck warped btw), a horrible finish, nails as your side fret markers, and a general waste of your hard earned money.....well then go for it....:hmm:

I got to play the one from the let's buy a wish II thread a while back. It was better than I expected from what I had read, but still comically bad. It was playable but the workmanship was real bad. Notably the electronics control plate. That teardrop shaped metal plate that the volume pot mounts in- That plate was flat but not mounted on a flat part of the body. You could actually grab the edge of the plate, which was fairly sharp edged. Also the position markers on the side of the fingerboard were just tacks hammered in. Not very accurate in position along the string or along the neck/fingerboard joint. They just sort of made a drunken line down the fingerboard. Oh yeah, and the fingerboard went all the way up to the single pickup, which was mounted close to the bridge. The action was actually pretty low and I had a tough time plucking because my fingertips were on the fingerboard when I played it.

i was part of the "let's buy a wish pt. 2" thread as well, and while it wasn't the most amazing bass I've played, it did have its strong points, I found the tone really good with the setup I had, a lot like an upright to my ears. But it also had its weak points, namely it's construction. While the tone was cool and the bass wasn't uncomfortable to play (to me at least), it had a lot of construction flaws which is common in wishbasses, things like nails for fretmarkers, upsidedown pickups and poorly made control plates were standout in the wishbass I've played.

But to be honest with you, I still liked it. For the price, it's a cool little novelty imo :)
I might get one someday :)
