How hard do you play and why?

In general though, I play hard and I like a higher action so I can dig in. Geezer is definitely a big influence on me there.

Nailed it! Play to the song! If its a really driving/heavy part, then pound away! If its a more delicate/intricate part of the song... Play softer!

I pluck as hard as I need to to get the sound I want, unless I'm playing at really low volumes, then I have a bad tendency to overcompensate and overplay.

Unless I'm completely unplugged. I don't overplay then for some reason.
