how is Gibson les paul money

some guy want to trade my les paul studio with a money bass.
I am interesting in Gibson bass for a long time,but never palyed one,so how's les paul money?

Yup, I agree 100%. It's definitely a rock tone, I haven't played mine a lot as it doesn't fit tonally all that well in my normal Church gig - but it is a very nicely finished, excellent quality unique instrument.

I'll agree with the above posters, and add that the pickups are HOT. It has more output than any passive bass I've played, and all active ones, except maybe the MM Bongo..

They are a fantastic bass, especially for the price....last year was the time to buy as they weren't selling great, and they could be had on the 'Bay for $600 or less.

You can get a nice Jazzy sound with just Bridge PU, nice P-bass sound with just neck PU, and two pickups all the waaay are HOT for rock'n'roll! For me, it's great for slapping and feel.

They sound even better with a pick for the rockin' stuff.

is the lp studio a guitar and is it a gibson or epiphone? if it's an epiphone and he wants to make a straight trade, go for it. if the lp studio is a gibson, depending on condition, it may be worth a bit more than the money bass.

noo! dont do it - gibson loaned me one of these whilst in america and while i have played some nice gibsonsbefore this was truly horrible - honky middle range, truss rod rattling around in the neck, the body is really small and the neck really long - i had to wear it like mark king almost to manage to play it!!

this is just my opinion tho.... you might love the things i hate!

Well, I love mine. It's become my go-to bass for general purpose playing, ahead of my Precisions and my Rick 4003.
