How long do batteries last in your bass

My main bass has a 9V for the pre and a 3V for the LED's in the fingerboard. The latter is replaced when dead - that happens about every 18 months. First the blue LED goes but i can go on with the red for a few weeks, then it's dead. The 9V lasts more than a year, but i happen to replace it before a gig when it's about a year old, so there are no nasty surprises on stage.

Rechargeable batteries should not be used on basses.

Unless you're happy to recharge them every week or two.

The batteries last many months, years even in some of my basses - as long as I remember unplugging them between uses. I probably replace the batteries too early, just to be safe, and I have only had a battery go dead once, at a rehearsal luckily.

I don't know.
The battery in my J-retro have been using for 2 years and still have a lot of juice in it.

Seems as of lately ive been replacing both 9v batteries in my Cirrus every month. When I first got the bass I replaced them every 6 months or so.

How long do batteries last in your bass? Two 9v batteries arent cheap

Do you leave your cable plugged in?

I don't use batteries in my active basses any more. I feed external power back into the bass through a TRS cable. PM me if you want to know how I did it. I'm not selling anything.

Works with 9v or 18v, you just need the right power supply.

I haven't changed the battery in my Ibby SR500 since I can't remember when.......and it gets played every day.....

But I ALWAYS unplug the cable when I'm finished.....
