I just upgraded from 2 to 3!
I own 4 basses
Fender New american Standard Precision 2009 Olympic White
My first "serious" bass, a damn good instrument
Fender New american Standard Jazzbass 2010 Sunburst
A long time dream, I don't play it but i like the idea to own one. Its more a fantasm come true than anything else
Fender Precision 51 reissue MIJ 2006 sunburst
By far my favorite, I love its neck, its look, its sound
Takamine EG512 acoustic bass
Great bass to play at home without any amplification system or in the garden. But not really usable without amplification with other players
I've got too many.
2 Statuses (Statii)
1 fretless Precision partscaster
1 Chinese cheapie which isn't bad
1 RPG (a shop which used to be in the Midlands) doubleneck
I just sold a Horner cheapie.
I own a humble Squier VM Jazz and a GRS205 that I recently turned into a fretless. They get the job done. *shrugs*
Two. My Musicman Sterling HS and my Musicman Caprice.. Thats it for me!
Damn. I can remember when I "needed one bass" and only one. Maybe also a backup. Right. I now have 5. Although the fifth bass was a garage sale "find" for $20 and was in horrendous shape. Even after fixing her up, she's barely playable. The next was so warped that, while we were able to get the action on the low-end to a good place, the action higher up on the neck is so high it's ridiculous. So, it may lose it's bass-ness and wind up as a piece of furniture or a shelf or something. But, yeah, technically I have 5 basses, now.
For about a year I've held steady at four, which is down from my high of seven in 2008. The herd might creep up to five or six this year, but I'd like a regularly-gigging band first! The current bass residents of casa Nedmundo are:
1. Fender MIA Jazz, 2003, Chrome Red/maple/black sparkle guard, with Lindy Fralin Split-Jazz pickups.
2. G&L USA SB-2, 2007, Vintage White/rosewood/tort, tone control added.
3. G&L USA JB, 2010, Midnight Blue/rosewood/white pearl guard/painted headstock, Lace Sensor Man O' War pickups.
4. G&L USA M-2500, 2014, Ruby Red Metallic/rosewood, quartersawn neck.
1. 1981 Aria SB-1000
2. Heavily modded Squier Affinity P Bass (new everything except neck and body)
3. Squier VM Jazz
4. Warwick Rockbass Active Corvette
5. 1987 Fender Jazz Bass Special (Duff)
6. 1976 Univox HI Flyer
7. 1994 Warmoth Big 5 build.
8. 1963 Regent/Guyatone
9. 1985 BC Rich Ironbird
10. Cort Curbow 6
In various states of disrepair: Kramer fret less, Cort steinberger, Peavey BXP Cirrus
7 - in order of preference...
MIA Fender Jazz Lake Placid Blue Maple neck (TI Flats)
Ric 4003 Fireglow (swaps for #1 with the Jazz but my current favorite) (Fender Flats)
Gibson Ripper Maple 1975
EB MM SR4 H Tobacco Sunburst MN, currently has ESP fretless neck mounted (Black nylon flats)
Gibson Midtown Standard Cherry (needs flats)
G&L L2500 Black with Birdseye maple neck (needs flats)
EB MM SR4 HH Olympic White - I don't like it personally. Trade for nice P bass? I traded this for my '62 RI and miss it.
I just had to revote!
1.) Geddy Lee Jazz Bass
2.) Squier VM Fretless Jazz Bass
3.) Marcus Miller 5-string J bass
4.) '57 RI P with Geddy Lee neck
5.) Squier Affinity P bass with lots of tweaking
6.) Epiphone EBM, tuned tenor bass
7.) Luna Uke Bass
8.) Breedlove Passport, with classical bass guitar nylon strings
9.) Best Choice acoustic, will be converted to a piccolo soon
10.) 1945 Kay M1 Upright bass (this counts in this poll, right?!)
Time to come up with a new way to hang them all...
I dont think this thread was meant for Bass stores or Bass hoarders! lol.

Squier 58 P:
You might feel good....but what about that lonesome bass????? His buddies are all gone! Can't imagine having to thin out the brood...I imagine some day I will have to.
Never enough and allways too much!
may the bass(es) be with you
