How many basses do you own, total?

i'm with SocialleppeR.

own: 7
play: 3(1/2)

the 3.5 that i don't play........ one's the second bass i ever owned (the first was stolen), one's a fretless 6 Dean that i'm trying to move 'cause i'm AWFUL at fretless and not focusing on that right now, one's a project bass that's a clear bodied 5 that i want to jam a 6 neck on, and one is a SUPER crappy 6 that i keep in the bathroom at work for toilet noodling. yeah. i said it.

toilet noodling.

and the other three are two decent Dean Edge 6's and a Conklin 7.

...... i don't own any NICE expensive basses. yet.

Currently I have 4 basses with 2 more on the way withing the next month but maybe more if I can find someone to trade for my electric guitars.
I have 3 electric guitars.
Just sold 1 of my acoustic guitars and traded another one for my Sterling 4H.

3 basses:
- Fender Aerodyne Jazz bass (4 string fretted)
- Univox "Lucy" (4 string short scale fretted)
- Thompson RM-100 (4 string upright)
I'll add a fretless electric before too long, once I decide exactly which one I want and have the extra money to spend.

This is kind of odd, you could look at it two ways,
1) How many do you own
2) How much do you have invested in basses.
You could have 25 SX's but not have as much invested in them as one Lakland or Sadowsky or Fender CS and if we are talking a Ritter or Amblec you would need a semi load.
BTW I have 7 basses total
